The House Oversight Committee has released a batch of around 70 photographs from the estate of former adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such disclosure from a larger collection of over 95,000 images the committee has obtained from Epstein's estate. It includes pictures of passages from the novel Lolita written across a female's body, and redacted pictures of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the 19 December deadline for the Justice Department to disclose every files connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These new images raise further queries about precisely what the DOJ has in its possession," said the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Released

Some of the photographs made public on recently depict Epstein conversing with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing alongside a individual whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the newest high-net-worth, influential men to be pictured in Epstein property images published by the House Oversight Committee - earlier released pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Being pictured in the photos is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and many of the featured individuals have stated they were in no way implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the image publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer context or dates for the photographs.

"Photos were picked to provide the American people with openness into a illustrative selection of the images acquired from the estate, and to give insights into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling behavior," the announcement reads.

The disclosure also contains a number of photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita inscribed in dark ink across several locations of a woman's body, like her torso, lower extremity, hip, and back. Lolita narrates the story of a minor who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.

A particular excerpt from the novel written across a woman's torso reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a collection of photos of female identification and official papers from countries around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the data on the documents, including names and DOBs, is censored but the committee said in a statement that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

A further photograph shows Epstein seated at a desk in close proximity surrounded by three female figures whose faces have been redacted - a first has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and a second is bending to examine a close-by computer. Epstein can be seen to be aiding the third individual attach a bracelet.

A further image released is a image of text messages from an unknown person who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are requesting "$$1,000 per girl".

Photograph Disclosure Comes Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The body has a vast number of photographs in its possession from the Epstein estate, which are "at once graphic and ordinary," its statement on recently noted.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein property submitted to the committee are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein files". Those are documents under the DOJ's possession associated with its own probe into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President enacted in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its files. The extent of what is contained in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's expected that a significant portion of the material will be heavily obscured, akin to House Oversight Committee materials
