Liverpool's Star Offers Apology to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.

Salah was left out from a European match following making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”

The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

Looking Ahead

Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

He also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “It's clear there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Positive Results

The team's performance have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to destabilise the squad.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and securing victories.”
