Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
